I know this may belong in exterior mods, but no one reads those as much it seems. Anyway, I really like the 2006 18" wheels, as does it seem everyone else. Unfortunately I don't want to pay the probable >$350 per wheel that Ford will charge. How long does it usually take for other wheel manufacturers to come out with their replica wheels that are basically the same wheel but a lot less costly. I know right now you can buy cobra replicas fairly cheaply. Anyone have any info?

That's a good question. As well as the Cobra Replica's I know the Mach 1 replicas (and Bullitts) also hit the market pretty fast, but not sure on the exact timeline. I want to say they hit ~4-6 months after, but with the buzz of the '05 maybe those replicas will hit faster . . .

You know . . . maybe it would be a good idea to contact certain manufacturers that currently replicate Ford Mustang wheels, and ask. Afswheels.com comes to mind. Not sure about the logistics/timing involved with acquiring the designs from Ford, though.

How do you know that Ford will be charging $350/wheel for the Fan Blades?

Cheaper cost aways comes with something I do not like, like lower quality. :nono: I will pay the price.

But the factory options are only 8" wide, I would much more prefer an 18x9.

Yes the people that seem to be putting on 18's are usually 18x9 in front and 18x10 in back, at least thats what I have seen on some of these sites.

Didn't someone on that other thread refuted the idea that they were 18x8?

Yeah. I have no idea either. I have heard both. I guess we will just have to wait until they come out.

I'm fairly certain that the factory 18" fanbaldes will be 18x9.
