As we get into mid-April, my hopes of getting a 2005 GT are starting to fade even further. My original order (12/08/04) didn't fly due to lack of allocation and I'm 5th in line on my 03/04/05 order from a different dealer.
So - I'm looking to next year's models. I've heard that I have to wait till May to order a 2006, and the 2005s will be built until July/August. Do I have that right?
Also, can anyone point me to info/rumors on the changes coming in 2006 (other than more $$, of course)? I'd really like a Windveil Blue GT with the same options as the 2005's have (IUP for example).
I did look around this site, but I couldn't find any 2006 details.
Thank you
Brad

If you search this forum for "2006" you should get a ton of posts. But it was posted that May 16th is when the 2006 order banks open up. I'm sure some dealers are taking early orders. Best way to handle this one is to chat with your local dealership and see if they are accepting orders. if they are then hound them until the order banks open and you get the DORA.
Outside of the colors the only thing I've heard is that satellite radio will be an option. I don't think much else will change since it will be the second run.

Shop for a dealer that will have decent allocation projections or you will find yourself in the same boat you are in now. They won't know yet but allocations for this year will be a pretty good indication. Good luck with your search.

Yes - I *now* understand that. The original dealer I ordered with only gets 3 2005 Mustangs. He was cheap, but that don't help much when he can't get cars.
If I can't get the 2005, I'll be ordering a 2006 from a big volume dealer.
So much for helping the local small town guy!!
