Search on my username, and you'll see I posted these quite a while ago: 1ZV - Built in US by AAI
H (or F) - H = Active belts (all positions) and front and side air bags (driver and passenger), F = Active belts (all positions) and front air bags (driver and passenger)
T - All passenger vehicles imported from outside North America or non-Ford build passenger vehicle marketed by Ford in North America
82 (or 80) - 82 = GT coupe, 80 = V6 coupe
H (or N) - H = 4.6L V8, N = 4.0L V6
? - VIN check digit (calculated by the standard automotive formula)
5 - Model Year 2005
5 (PLT column on dealer order bank screen) - AAI: Flat Rock, Michigan
?????? - 6-digit consecutive unit number (starts with 100,001)
I don't understand how you can figure out the day your car will be built based on the vin. Nowhere in the 17 digits is a build date. Are guessing on the build date based on the last 5 digits serial number?

i don't know if we're sure on how many cars are going to be built per day/per shift...so i don't know if it an accurate day can be guessed yet.

*edit:
this is from a previous post:
Are we saying that each shift will build 550 per day? That will give us the 1100 per day with two shifts.
I orderd my GT on 5/24. I called the sales manager just now for an update on my order status and he told me I still have not been assigned a VIN. He said they had it in "unscheduled" status still. HELP! What gives with that.
