I heard a rumor that there will be a special version of the new stang offered next spring. It came from an individual who claims to have seen the car. He claimed there would be no performance performance mods on this vehicle. In regard to cosmetic changes, he would not comment, but I got the impression they would be minor. Anyway, the only solid piece of information was that the color would be black jade, similar to a color offered in about 1970. In a related note, several months ago on this forum I think I recall someone mentioning a spring edition car, but said it was not worth waiting for. Anybody recall the color black jade.

 

i doubt the car will be black probaly red or yellow a 2005 Spring Edition has a good chance of being real

You info. is consistant with what a Ford engineering manager told me at one of the 05 Stang events. He said there would be a SE in the spring of 05 and that it would cosmetics only, no engine performance enhancements, no IRS, etc. He hinted that it might have different wheels.

Yah Black Jade is one of my favorite colors. My friend's dad owns a 70 Mach 1 in that color. Its just a beautiful thing to see driving down the road. Heck just sitting in the garage for that matter. It needs a new engine tho. Otherwise the rest of the car is the way it was when it rolled off the lot. Like I mean its in awsome shape. No rust, so cracking of the vinal sets, not even a scratch on the paint.
