The smaller rear looks kewl , As I was looking @ it i realized that if the rear was smaller , the boot lid would have 2 be on an angle (like the 67-70 mustang) which would mean 1. a Duck tail would look a heck of alot better than on the exsisting level boot lid,2. Shelby/cougar style rear lights would look & fit better & 3.It would give it a more classic & agressive look.

Some people think eww if the boot lids on an angle &/or the fast backs extended it will look like a Delorean.... ....well not if it has Hips.....

wot do ya think??? Ill post some photo chops wen i get my computer back..

Photoshop? Sure looks like it .. the grain on the photo isn't consistent. The old stang is much grainier than the right one. It looks like a copy and paste for sure

I have a wierd feeling you're right. Something about the right car just "feels" like it doesn't belong.

Ahhhh the Dream Cruise.... what we Michigan car enthusiast dream a bout from the last day of the cruise to the next year's beggining-- even though we cruise woodard just about every fri sat and sun if it's nice out in the summer. I guess I'm lucky cause i live like 5 min away from woodward, one day I even got lucky and saw an Enzo, yellow...so nice, among other cars.

I hope to get an actual pic like that come Dream Cruise time. I saw a black V6 (I thought the exhaust tip was pretty big for a V6, guess it has to breath more with those added ponies) and it was sooo beautiful it doesn't look dull at all, I told the guy I have to have one of those and he just looked and smiled

I know it's early, but has anyone heard anything about performance parts? Blowers, cold air, etc.?

aftermarket companies (roush, saleen, etc.) have had a look at the car/chance to take measurements.

I am sure that a lot of cosmetic and minor performance parts will be available soon after launch. That being said, the big-daddy engine mods might be a while because this is a new engine application.

In October you will see the cosmetic/ some performance parts. I have talked to Vortech, local speed shops, pro-charger, a couple of turbo companies and none have started making a kit for the car yet. So look for Saleen/roush/belle to come out with the first kits.

In regards to Knudsen's blog entry:

WOW! I didn't know in '66 they had a 4 valve 289!!! Man, now that must be one heckuva performer there...

I'm sure he must have meant a 4V, which of course means 4 Venturi, or 4 barrel carburetor.

But then again... 4 valve 289!!! Yeah!
