2005 Mustang Screensaver
#21
The question really is -- how does this "CSAgent" know that the screen saver was *capturing* keystrokes. Think about it for a sec -- a screensaver is designed to run while you are away from your computer. Move the mouse or hit a key, and it goes away. I'm thinking this alleged security program mistakenly identified the screen saver as capturing keystrokes when all it was really doing was watching the keyboard for any sign that the user had returned and wanted to use the computer. Duh...
I too have an aggressive firewall in front of my home machine (which runs the screensaver), and I haven't detected any suspicious traffic.

I am always care not to download screen savers and other free programs on the net. But you think your could trust the ford site. Are you sure this is actually cause by the screen saver?

If you have any concern use a program like ad-aware to scan your computer to deteck any spyware.

Could you please let me know where & when you got the screen saver? Could you zip up the screen saver and forward it to me? We are unaware of this but since I am not sure of all the places marketing may have outsourced work to we would like to investigate. There is also the possibility that either the screen saver was created by a 3rd party not connected to Ford, or that a virus infected the site where the screen saver is down loaded from.
Thank you.

I really hope this is bad coding on the screen saver looking for an input from the user to "deactivate". As far as y'alls firewalls...Cisco is a pretty powerful tool. You are either uploading or you're not. Don't think Cisco is generating a false report. Something is going on.
