This my first post. Perhaps this should shed some light on the price of the 2005 mustang.

Average retail value is $28k. See below.

"Winner’s choice of one (1) of the following Ford vehicles: 2005 Mustang (ARV $28,000), 2005 Five Hundred (ARV $28,000), 2005 Freestyle (ARV $29,000), 2005 Ford Expedition (ARV $34,000) AND..."

Actually, you have to fill out the information to get to the page of terms and conditions to see the quote above.

I hope that's in Canadian
I guess its going to be a GT, but I was hoping the GT would be priced at 25,000. The V6 should be around 18,000. hmmmm... dont know why they put 28,000

the $28,000 figure is most likely to cover themselves against the winnder getting a fully loaded GT 'Vert. They have to put a high enough price for that. That has no real bearing on the price at all, b/c the list the Freestyle and being at $28k, and I just dont see it being that expensive.

They probably include the freight and tax.. unless they make you front the bill for that on your own.

And I mentioned in that thread that that's the price for a fully loaded GT. ARV doesn't mean average, it means Approximate Retail Value.

Is the 34 more days until you can order from the dealer, online, or both?

I was thinking that AVR was an acronym for Average Retail Price. Anyway, I know this doesn't shed a whole lot of light on the GT retail value, but it didn't say GT/coupe/vert/whatever, so I figured that this number took into account all the mustangs sold, which is mostly v-6 coupes. So it got me thinking that the GT might be a little more expensive that people on this board claim. I hope I'm wrong.

Yeah, you're wrong. Theres no way they will go over say 3% higher than last years GT cost. It would be, as they say, bad for business.

you know what, 3 % sounds about right to me. from an even 24k its 24,720.
When i went to the LA show the dude said about a 750 $ increase can be expected. I'm not sure if its right, and i'm not confirming anything, just what popped to my head. If its is true im happy.

Ok about the rebates.
The car will be out to buy in September.
This is a redesign.
This car may be high demand, but who knows since we're all enthusiasts.

How long till they have cash back rebates? Rough estimate with previous models in consideration.

around november to january?

february to June?

July to September?
I am going to get it as soon as the 1st good deals come out. I just wanna have a ROUGH estimate on maybe when this could be. Any help would be great.

Actually 3% is on the high end if you look historically. I would look from 1 - 1.5%

Autoshow reps have said about 3-4% price increase. For what we are getting compared to the old stang and what other companies are offering, that isn't half bad IMO.

excactly not bad. 3%, If lower than 3%, I am a HAPPY CAMPER .
If 6 months is an average, may vary of course, I may actually not have to wait too long to be behind the wheel of a GT.
