ordered june 1st
took delivery Oct. 27

 

got mine as a surprize birthday gift on 01\30\04. they new what i wanted and it took 5 weeks to find one at a dealer. the only thing it didn't have that i wanted was the shaker 1000. boy it was a surprize, i still can't believe it.... oh there it is , still in the driveway.

 

Ordered 11/30. Still waiting. No VIN or build date yet.

 

Special ordered my GT.

Order placed on November 4th. Picked up on December 20th.

 

Tried to order last year and dealer wouldn't let me They finally let me place my order on May 26th and car arrived late November

Ordered mine on June 1 and picked it up on October 28. VIN sequence is 2117 and it's a Mineral Grey GT Deluxe with IUP and auto trans.

The wait between June and September 7 was bearable but the tension built up between then and the end of October.

Every day the question was: "where's my car!!". As many of you have recently found out, nobody knew! Finally the salesman called on October 27 and asked " ... when did I want to pick it up?"

Having read this Forum before and since, I'm glad now that I ordered early and took delivery accordingly. I got my IUP!

My only question now is: "where's my vanity plate?" Actually, I got it before Christmas but the State of Forida mis-spelled it so I'm still waiting.

I wanted to pay cash and had a particular date that money would be available. Dealer wanted some cash down to order and I wanted money in hand before I ordered. So I told him what I wanted and he ordered it for the dealership, but said he'd call as soon as it came in. Well it came but did'nt have leather or Shaker system. No prob was going aftermarket stereo anyway, and dealer installed two tone leather to match the interior. So I kinda ordered, but voted bought it off the lot.

 

Ordered 12/20... no ETA in sight. I called today and deleted the spoiler. I don't mind waiting.

 

It's only been Three weeks! I placed my order in may only to find it was misordered in october and ended up taking something close in late november. By all means get THE car you want but a little searching might find the exact same car you ordered! B)

I bought a V6 off the lot.

 

Ordered 10/25, built 12/15, delivered 1/7

 

I own a redfire GT and am happy with it!!

 

I ordered mine in May, and took delivery on October 27th.

 

It is interesting how many more Gt owners responded vs v6 owners. I believe 80% of all 05 mustangs are v6 if I am not mistaken. I guess The Gt owners spend more time in the forums. VERY INTERESTING!

 

Well I ordered 12/3/04 6 weeks ago today actually. Last weekend my dealer acted stupid, tried to lie to me and I went elsewhere. Sat up all saturday night looking on Forddirect for a car like i ordered, found one in VA that was everything I ordered and more. Called the dealership, got a Great price on it and that was that. Its now sitting in my driveway while the original dealer just refunded my deposit.

 

GOT MINE OF THE LOT.
GOT IT JUST THE WAY I WANTED.

 

Why wait if the car you want is out there. I will bet that if that IUP lawsuit goes bad that option will get EXPENSIVE!
