If you have recently ordered a 2005 Mustang as I did and aren't getting any answers from your salesman I suggest you ask a manager for help. I ordered mine on 11/26/04. I have not received any solid information from my salesman since I placed the order. Yesterday I made the decision to speak with a manager and I am glad I did. I did not call to bash the salesman (as this is the third vehicle I have bought from him), rant, rave & complain but to express concern about my order. She was extremely helpful - one of the most knowledgeable persons I have ever spoken with. She answered all my questions honestly. She confirmed the date the vehicle was ordered, all the options and even changed my priority code from 24 to 08. She also confirmed that the vehicle at this time was not delayed due to IUP. Keep in mind I am a repeat customer and always buy on X plan as well. She also was able to change my color for me (Legend Lime to Windveil Blue - my wife and I decided we prefer the blue), as the build date had not yet been assigned. She requested that I call her directly this Thursday to check for a VIN number & build date, offering me her cell number as well. Unfortunately the salesman really don't have any horsepower to "make things happen" as she reminded me. Since the vehicle is being purchased on X plan some at the dealer won't make your vehicle a priority. So I guess what I would suggest is if you don't feel your getting timely information from your salesman ask a manager.

So was I, but she clearly told me my priority code was an 08. She will be faxing me a copy of my order today. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable than me on priority codes can answer this question.
