This has not been true for at least 20 years (if not longer). Many years ago you used to be able to pick up your cars in Michigan and save the delivery. At that time delivery charges varied depending on how far you were from the factory.

That changed many years ago. The delivery charge is the same everywhere (now around $625) and you pay it whether you are in MI (or near another plant) or across the county.

 

True statement about the shipping charges, I think it's a Teamsters contract deal.

 

Hey Brad, I'm in the process of getting my invitation and will be there. I'll help take pics and vids to post here. My build date is on the 27th so I'll be there during the day watching it being built (black GT with EVERYTHING upgraded). Maybe we'll bump into each other. Should be a complete blast!!
