2005 Mustang GT Light Problem

I have a 2005 Mustang GT and I had to replace a bulb in my left tail light a while back, it was the far left light, it doesn't work when the blinker is on and when I break. Well, it went out again and I replaced the blub and the brand new bulb doesn't work. I think I may have a short in the eletrical system, because the middle light works for the blinker and break light. Has anyone had any problem like this before? I called Ford and they told me it was $86 for an eletrical diagnostic, so I thought I would ask around on here if anyone had any ideas before I have to pay for them to figure it out because I am out of warranty.

Thanks

I had some strange electrical problems with my 05 as well. My tail lights stayed on even with the lights off and keys out of the ignition. Turned out to be a water leak around the firewall on the passengers side. There's a control module on the kick panel that can short out and cause some strange things to happen. It also controls the alarm and auto window down feature that I know of. Pull up the carpeting in the passengers foot well and see if it is wet underneath. If it is have them check out TSB 07-14-6 WATER LEAK-FRONT FLOOR AREA.

It happens, that new bulb could be bad. try it in the center socket. Or put your working center bulb in the end one. Also take a good look at the socket itself for any corrosion.
