The 05 will be much better imo. If you want or need more power just wait a year and choose between an SE or make your own mods. It'll be a more modern package and should be better all around.

the suspension is pretty mediocre, but if your just looking to drag race essentially, then you really don't need much in terms of a suspension anyway, just a big motor and stout drivetrain. .
So what your saying is that we can take a stock 93 coupe and put a big motor, good tranny, and gear and you have a drag car. That is as far from the truth as possible. Lets see if you have a big motor and good drive train and no suspension your car is going to be a no hooking pos.

I vote none of the above:

I would say get a 2000-2001.
You will get a good daily driver car and most of the depreciation will have already gone off the car.Im reading a really good book right now showing all about used cars and how to go about buying them ( Phil Edmonston's Lemon-Aid Used Cars and Minivans 2005) ( http://www.penguin.ca/Book/BookFrame/0,,,0...l?id=0143016318 ).

1.2005 if you can afford, but will depreciate (if money is a concern)
2.foxes mustangs with V8 will most likely be pretty worn, and might not be best choice for a daily driver
3.As you state you dont like 94-95 look and also too might be well used

The body alone is suppost to be way better than any fox body for strenth and with the tri-link rear end and about 300 hp you can't lose .Besides soon enough there will probably be bolt on parts to hot rod this stang soon enough to do whatever you want for every day driveing or drag strip.
