Here is the start of the drawing. I did the grid in yellow. As you can see in the bottom right corner, also in yellow, I made the first mistake. :bang: You can also see the nasty drawing surface. :notnice:

Here is the finished project. I was happy with our work, but I will admit, we kind of gave up after people walked all over it, the oils from the street started seeping through, and the grooves in the street could not be overcome.

Here's one more of the finished Mustang. We did a few touch ups the next day. But I refused to take more pictures because of the lack of respect that people showed our work.

This is what we had to do to stop people from running it over. I was so mad. I put a majority of the blame on the lemonade stand that moved ALL THE WAY OUT to the EDGE of the drawing, by doing so, putting a main lane of traffic right over our Mustang.
What is REALLY funny, is that the guy from the lemonade stand told us on SATURDAY to not be in THAT spot (where the STAND was on SUNDAY) because it was a fire lane. I hate LIARS!

Here's the vert. Now... correct me if I am wrong, BUT... aren't those BMW grill inserts covering the Pony on the grill? Either way... I say he gets his Mustang License revoked.

I just thought this giant thing was cool. Now, I know it is not possible, but wouldn't it be funny if this thing was chasing you down, and when it caught you, about 40 cops jumped out...

Nice pics! I really liked the forced perspective one! That was cool!
Sorry about your 'stang. Why did they force you on a split surface? The concrete was right in front of your drawing (1/2 of it is already on the concrete).

You're drawing was great, to bad people messed it up, and the surface was as bad as it was.
That mustang does look like it has a bmw grille and looks like a bow-tie which is not the ideal grille for a mustang.
Man, I love those drawings from other people. My personal fave was the one with the picture guy drwing a picture. That one looks realy nice.

Romero, we went to the show on Sunday and looked for you. I realize the reason we did not see your work is that your drawing was away from the others in the plaza. Why did you draw there? Were you told to use that spot? The cement in the plaza is obviously a far surface better than the oily asphalt. And having to drawn next to the lemonade stand is awful. Still, your drawing turned out great.

WOW... would've been great to see all that in person. Excellent job you guys did. Chalk is a hard medium to work in.
I'm an artist myself (graduated from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh) a lot of people in my family are too.
And it is sad that people don't respect art. Can't believe they'd put a lemonade stand there.
Has your girlfriend tried marker rendering before? That's one of my favs to work in.
Thanks for the pics and good job
