I did a search but couldn't find any information as to whether an '05 Mach was going to be offered. I did see where the Cobra won't be seen until '06 as a 2007MY version but coudn't find anything on the Mach.

Did I miss it somewhere or could someone fill me in?

 

There is supposed to be an SE in March, but no one knows what it will be...

 

SE in march..........highest chance of being a mach1....since cobras wont be out till like 07

 

As they have said, there is a rumor of an 05 SE. Wouldn't make any sense, however, since the 05 will be hyped well enough, no reason to use a SE to increase sales ... maybe in 06.

Thanks for the replies. I almost pulled the trigger on a new Mach but decided to wait to see more of the '05 (this was several months back) when I saw it at Detroit Auto Show.

I'm glad I waited.

I do like the Mach (especially the shaker hood) but am totally blown away with the new GT. I'm going to the local Ford dealers this week.

 

Wow, even the thought of a 2005 mach 1 drives me nuts. It just does not seem likely.

 

I really loved the '04 Mach 1 I drove. But when I saw the grey '05 at Detroit, I knew I had to wait.

An '05 Mach would be killer but I can certainly be extremely happy with a GT!

Does anyone know if the dealers have the new literature for the '05's? I can't wait to get my hands on the info! :worship:

 

I don't think it's happening before the Cobra. Whatever real SE we get.

 

i hope its a mach 1. that would make my dream come true. a 69 mach 1 and a 05 mach 1 in my driveway.......

 

My son has an '03 Cobra with a pulley, chip, exhaust - the usual basic performance upgrades. It's a solid 11 second car.

I can't WAIT to see the '07 model.

 

i almost got a mach even went as far as taking everything out of my 02 an going to the dealer with title in hand. test drove it. big no no.

started hagling over trade in on the 02. kept thinking about the 05 fastback with mach hp. ect... an drove the mach 1 more time an walked off!!!!

I highly doubt, that if Ford comes out in Spring with an SE, it would be a Mach 1. It's just too soon, especially since there is a lot of hoopla with the GT already and the fact that there is no cobra yet, I don't think it is likely a mach would be offered to "bridge" the gap between a GT and cobra at this time. I do hope, though, that they come out with some kind of special trim package like the 99 35th anniversary GT, which I think is more highly feasable. Or better, yet they come out with a Bullitt or California Special.

I had talked to the local ford dealer in the fall of 2003 from someone in management over a 2004 mach 1 in the showroom .Of coarse the topic went to the 05 mustang and I asked him if there was going to be a mach1 in 05 .He told me that he had just got back from a meeting from the states about what was to come up in the near future .He couldn't remember exactly if there would be one in 05 but he said 06 for sure .Whether this is B/S or not I guess well all find out real soon but this is what I was told. :scratch:
