2005 GT & V6 in 2006
You will put that many miles on your car in that short amount of time? wow! That seem about average though I guess. I've had my car for 3 years and i only have 17,000 miles on it and its my only car. Maybe because the first to years I had it I was in high school.
As to the answer to your question: I don't know.

But I use my car only for school.
I saw 2003 cars with over 50,000 miles on them.
Depreciation on current mustangs, from what I've seen before, is about USD$2000 per year. Whether or not this car will be different...only time will tell I guess.
EDIT: I see Kev is scratching his head below...perhaps he has further light to shed on this issue?

yeah.... 1 yr old car with a lot of miles is a rental car. i dont about you guys but i dont treat rental cars well!!
to answer it all depends on the demand and the way ford sells newer models. if ford sells them like pancakes then i would assume the value will be pretty low.
look at it from this point of view : GT's should be worth 24k- 30k brand new... people can get them as low as 17!!!!! its a question of the market at the time. and from the looks of it the market is not going to do well in 2005... my .02
sorry to ramble on.

I would imagine look at current rates of depreciation.
Go to www.kbb.com and see what a 2003 Mustang with X miles is worth today. Should be a decent baseline.

Vehicle purchases use an accellerated depreciation (MACRS) as opposed to straight line depreciation. The greatest amount of depreciation is in the first year and tapers off over the years. Once you buy it and drive it off the lot, it immediately loses a significant amount of
the original value. Hey, I learned something in grad school.
