good afternoon,

I purchased a 2005 mustang in november of 04 and asked them to give me the information of when the car was vin'd and when the car was built... I kept calling them for info and they said there was no word from ford. Next thing I know they are telling me that they have the car and it is ready for pickup. I was wondering if there was a way to find out when these items was done? I would like to have this information for show purposes. Thank you.

Also, sorry if this has already been answered in another topic but there are alot of posts to search thru for this topic.

 

Well, there was a guy that went by the name of Kzinti at Blue Oval Forums. He had access to all the info. Just give him a VIN and he would get you a pdf of your window sticker and all the build / processing data for your vehicle. He did it for dozens of people including me. And then I think he disappeared. Not sure what happened. Can't confirm it, but I heard that Ford shut him down.

Not sure if anyone else has access to the data anymore.

My car just showed up too, around that time frame, the day after thanksgiving of '04 to be exact, and my dealer had the info for me since I had asked before the build, but even they thought it would take till at least febuary/march to get built

 

Picked mine up the day after Thanksgiving '04 as well! Certainly won't forget my car's birthday. I remember the wife, daughter and I were heading to Home Depot for some insignificant thing when I got the call. The wife said "just go straight to the dealership, you'll be worthless all day anyways thinking about the car". Sometimes they know us too well.

As for the info, have you asked your salesperson? Mine always had updates available so he prob got it from his pc.
