I... think so. Don't know too much about the Fanblades but they certainly llok like 18s.

Yes, it is the wheel that was on the Mustang GT at the NAIAS in January and thats the wheel I like the best. Although the word is, not available untill 06 model. If I knew it would be out by next spring I'd past on the one we have coming, seeing how it will not be driven this winter anyway.

I don't really like those wheels personally. I think IMO the best looking wheels for the 05's would be torque thrust wheels. I plan on getting ARE torque-thrusts on mine, custom made 19 or 20s.

If one has 17" tires on the 2005 GT, do you have to change anything part-wise to upgrade to the 2006 18" rims... is it just an even swap?

(I guess the only way to know this is if you've done it with a previous/current car you own)

Simple swap assuming you keep the overall tire diameter the same. I wouldn't go messing with that anyway.

A 235 55 R17 is quivalent to a 255 45 R18. Swap the stock rims for those 18's and a set of the 255 45 R18 tires and you're all set.

Don't forget offset it can be different but not by much depending on the car clearance 25mm is about 1 inch 05 Mustang is 45mm positive offset

Yep, and get your pocket book out for those new tires if you get the 18's later. Price some good 18" tires, OH MY!!!! I thought 17's were bad? I was wrong.

If I go aftermarket, I'm sure the first set will be expensive but once they debut as an option on the 2006 stang, prices for those tires will surely drop. Demand and supply. The 255 45 R18 is an uncommon tire.

Well as soon as I can confirm the offset of the rims I am hoping to go with 19" tires (or possible 18's, no smaller). I want 295's in the back and 265's in the front.

Taht would probably be my choice as well, unless the SE has them as standard equipment, or something similar in size....cuz i don't like what Ford has to offer with the New 'Stang, not even the 18's....would go aftermarket for sure....

I can't decide if I want the BonSpeed Delta's or stick with a 5 spoke Crager style. A guy I worked with just got the Boyd Coddington Smoothies. Not a bad rim, though I thought they would be better. I definately want chrome this time and not polished aluminum.
