Is this the 2005.5 18" wheel?
Yes, it is the wheel that was on the Mustang GT at the NAIAS in January and thats the wheel I like the best. Although the word is, not available untill 06 model. If I knew it would be out by next spring I'd past on the one we have coming, seeing how it will not be driven this winter anyway.
If one has 17" tires on the 2005 GT, do you have to change anything part-wise to upgrade to the 2006 18" rims... is it just an even swap?
(I guess the only way to know this is if you've done it with a previous/current car you own)

A 235 55 R17 is quivalent to a 255 45 R18. Swap the stock rims for those 18's and a set of the 255 45 R18 tires and you're all set.

Yep, and get your pocket book out for those new tires if you get the 18's later. Price some good 18" tires, OH MY!!!! I thought 17's were bad? I was wrong.

Well as soon as I can confirm the offset of the rims I am hoping to go with 19" tires (or possible 18's, no smaller). I want 295's in the back and 265's in the front.

I can't decide if I want the BonSpeed Delta's or stick with a 5 spoke Crager style. A guy I worked with just got the Boyd Coddington Smoothies. Not a bad rim, though I thought they would be better. I definately want chrome this time and not polished aluminum.
