I just read the article - WOW!!

The impact shredded the car, sending the engine in one direction, the seats in another direction and the shell of the car in a third direction. The man driving the car slid in his seat across the parking lot. The woman riding with him was also thrown out of the car. Amazingly, they were not seriously injured. Police tell us the driver had been drinking.

Ooh, look, teh backseats are *perfect*. And the driver seat seems ok too... wonder where they're gonna wind up?

---

The one excellent thing out of this is that, even though the car was forced to sacrifice itself to stupidity, the 5 star rated Mustang did it's job... even shredded!

I bet they are thanking Ford for the Mustang crash rating, and thanking God because He didn't want them yet!

I saw a video of a C4 Corvette that wrecked on a highway in Arizona that split open much the same way about a buck sixty, and the driver had nothing but a couple of bruises after being ejected like someone cracked the car like it was an egg. Some idiots have all the luck!

+1 for buying another Ford!

Am I seeing that right... did the transmission get separated from the engine?!

Truly unbelievable that anyone survived that.
