1. How do I lower the windows with the remote?

2. How do I disable/enable the active alarm?

Thanks

Press and HOLD the unlock button on the remote.... windows will go down....

[to put back up from outside the car, insert key in door lock, turn to right and hold it there - windows will go up]

As for the alarm, don't know off top of my head - gotta check the manual...

1. Press and hold your unlock button on your keyfob.
2. Why would you want to??

Pages 71-75 in the owners manual explains both passive and active alarm systems. Disarming doesnt seem to be too complicated, 3-4 steps.

Oh, the window thing is on page 68 I believe.

You can find the manual here:

i guess my main concern was making sure the alarm was working and that the dealer didn't deactivate it or something.

yur1279, Didnt your salesperson go over all the options of the car with you? He should have showed how to use the keyfob and how to arm/disarm the alarm.

I would figure they come activated from the factory... I know I didnt have to activate my passive system.

Mine didn't go over anything with me, they were probably ready to go when they got to my house and were done with the paperwork anyways.

Badandy, your totally right about that. Mine figured I knew, but did a quick run down anyway. I did in fact know all the stuff he had on his checklist to go over for delivery. Just figured most sales folk would at least check off that the customer knew of the feature and how to work it.

I am actually a little bummed I decided to go aftermarket on my alarm. I cant get a couple other little dodads that the factory alarm offers. Oh well, doesnt bother me enough to be unhappy with my car, LOL

What I would like is for the lock button on the fob to automatically shut any open windows, turn off all lights, and then lock the door with one push.

The passive system is the programmed key part. That is always working. It is the active that can be activated in different modes per the manual.

Yea, When I packed up my mustang I showed the salesman how to change the my color and (Get This) Open the center glove box.
TMS Is the best place for the info should make it mandatory for the salesman!!
