2 spots open in Meguiars Detail class
On Saturday, July 21st, Meguiar's will partnership with Len House, owner of C.A.R.S. Incorporated, in Jamesburg, New Jersey to conduct our Saturday Detailing Class at Len's brand new shop! The morning portion will include a power point presentation with a time for questions and answers followed by the hands-on portion where we will go over techniques for removing swirls and scratches both by hand and using the G100 Dual Action Polisher followed by working your car's paint up to show car quality results. Later in the afternoon we go over hand sanding and machine sanding techniques, followed by the proper techniques for using the rotary buffer to remove sanding marks as well as other serious paint defects.

sry about that. next time ill be more thorough and place it in the car care section but i figured since not many ppl visit that part of the forum id put it on one of the more high traffic areas. my bad
it took about 24 hours to get a email response. also, i have aol mail and for some reason it was sent to my spam mail folder so check it because u may have gotten it already and dont even know it
never even waxed a car before? i think ull benefit. ive waxed, polished, washed everything by hand, im going mainly to learn how to use a buffer. but ull be learning EVERYTHING from a pro unlike me which was all trial and error.
def suggest u go, plus they give u breakfast, lunch,

Yep never wax, buffed, polished or anything of the sort. The cars I owned before the Mustang just didnt mean that much to me. Those cars got the carwash....and when I was feeling generious they may have gotten the "super protectant three color doodad foaming mess wash" at the laser wash. But the Mustang has gotten nothing but hand washes. Ive made some mistakes and ended up with some swirlage and a few surface scuffs/scratches. So Im on the edge of buying the gear to do the polishing myself or just paying somone else to do it.
i made the mistake of having someone else detail my car. ill never do that again. left some burn marks in the paint and just didnt do a good job for $150. now i do it all myself and it comes out 100%. sure it takes some work (by hand) but the end result is worth it and it really isnt that difficult. ud be suprised of what you can accomplish
