2,000 mile road trip

I just got back from my first road trip in the Mustang, from Phoenix to Mustang Oklahoma. I stayed pretty well within reason of the speed limit the whole way there and back, no tickets, no accidents. On this trip I cracked the 10,000 mile barrier on the odometer, and "think" I may have noticed something. My father used to be a truck driver, and he and many others swear that a truck doesn't open up until it hits 100,000 miles. After driving on the highway for extended periods of time, pulling in and out of gas stations (alot of them I might add :bang: ) I could swear that this car is running stronger than ever. Maybe I just have alot more confidence in it now that it has proven itself roadworthy, but man, this car is running great now.
Ok, so during my trip, I stopped at 9 gas stations between the start and end of my trip. I received compliments from 5 of the 9 gas station attendants about my car, and 3 individual "common folk" who were filling up their own cars with gas. You haven't lived until you have heard someone from Oklahoma drawl out "Whoooweee, that sure is a purdy car". I even had a lady who must have been near 80 years old talk to me at length about how much she liked my car and how all of the black really compliments the car. That was cool.
Here are a couple of pics from the trip.

Cool story but, no pics! Did you give the 80 yr old lady a ride?

I recently hit 12000 miles and I would say my car really started opening up around the 10200 mark....tires chirp all the time, and it roars like you wouldn't believe compared to the first hundred miles.
