I wonder how long it'll be before someone retrofits an '05 interior into a classic like a '67.

Plus, I miss the '67 console with the compartment with the sliding door - that was cool! Then there was the foot pedal that you could press to activate the windshield washers! I don't know how many people I tricked with that little pedal... "Look! The wipers respond to snapping my fingers!" They had no clue.

What I like on my 67 is the switch for the high beams on the floor i hate it on the directonal arm. I think they should put it back

As fas as I know, The switch move was purely financial and physical. There was a problem with so many wires coming away from the main electrical loom, hence why everything is now on or around the steering wheel. It would not be a massive job to put your own switch, you couls use the foot switch from any classic muzzy.
My '72 had the main beam light in the dash as a red pony, now that was cool!

That is correct. I tried it out on the car in Cincinnati. It was the left arm.
I also tried to turn on the fog lights, but they wouldn't work. I turned on the headlights and then pulled out the ****, maybe they weren't hooked up. It was a pre-prod model.

From what I remember dust, dirt and rocks kept getting into the switch and gunking it up.
Having torn apart the inner part of my turn signal, dimmer windshiels wiper arm and replaced the wiring harness; it does make sense for wiring routing and financal packages.

After the dimmer switch being on the floor for so long, the transportation safety people almost completely outlawed the dimmerswitch in the turnsignal. Too many wrecks caused by people getting their foot caught in the steering wheel. HA!
Wow, I haven't been able to tell that joke for 20 YEARS! Oh well, its probably as bad a joke now as then.
