That is nice. Simple and uncluttered. I can't wait to see it in person.

Thanks Brad.

There isn't one. Mustang hasn't had one for several years. You can buy an ashtray that fits in a cupholder.

Cool comparison Brad. I was wanting to do one myself, but hadn't found time to go searching the net for similar angled/colored pics. Thanks for doing it for me .

i've always wanted an old mustang but never really liked the archaic interior. The first time that I saw them making the '05 I fell in love. It is a modern interior (with a retro touch) with retro exterior with a touch retro, again.

Just like the rest of the stang, an amazing MODERN version which stays true to its roots by using some styling elements of its past.

The SN95 interior is nothing but ugly. Looks like a 1985 Honda interior or something. Especially the center console.

While we are on the subject of early vs late interiors - - - in the 2005 the air conditioner controls are where the module for the air conditioner was in the 65 and 66 models. When did the air conditioner change from an under dash module to in dash? Was it 1967? The picture for the '67 interior doesn't have a module under the dash but then again it might not have air conditioning either.

The 67 looks better I think. But the 05 is amazing also. I put the 67 shifter in the 05. That would look sweet. and choppers wanna give it a go?

I don't think the 67 had a module under the dash. I had one years ago with a/c (pretty rare), and I don't remember that. Had a indash 8-track player, though, along with a overhead console!

1967 had an optional full console:
