Hello all,
I am going to post this in two places....wait before you delete one of these. I would like to get some comments from both sides. The 2005 + drivers and the 1964 1/5 to 1966 drivers.
I have a 1965 convertible and I am thinking about selling it and getting a 2009 or 2010 convertible.
Any thoughts?
Thank you all.

I would say it depends on your purpose in owning the car. Is it own a classic, a piece of history? The 65 fits that bill. Is it to enjoy the driving experience in a mustang, the 2009-2010 (if anything like the current car) is a great driving car! Either way, you can't lose if its a Mustang.
They are such different cars with seemingly such different purposes that this question sounds to me like: "Should I wear my sneakers to work today or have a hot dog for lunch?"
Is your 65 a reliable daily driver? Would you drive both of them the same way to the same places? If not, I agree with 05YellowGT...keep 'em both.

yeah...it would not be cool to sell your '65 vert sometime soon, to put the $$$ is a CD or something untill the 2010 is available....then when it is unveiled, you don't like it....
rut row!
rut row!
I would keep the '65. The 2009 and 2010's will be all over the place when they come out. What are your chances of finding another '65 vert around?
I remember about a month and a half ago when i was driving my 07. I saw a 1965 mustang in perfect condition in the same color as mine. All i was thinking was whether he would trade it for my car

How much could this car fetch anyway?
Thank you all
I would listen to these guys and keep the 65.......NOT!!!...sorry, you have already experienced the 65 so try something new...you only live once right. That is a nice 65 though but I would rather have a newer mustang...just me though
Test Drive
Thanks everyone for your comments.
So me and my girlfriend went out and test drove a 2008 GT Convertible. Very nice! I just don't know what to do....I love the classics, but I don't drive it all that much. I think I would get more use out of the 09' or 10'.
How much will I miss my 65...................
............who knows.
Decisions....decisions...

I'd say keep the 65 if you have any attachment to it--you can always get a late model at another time. If the 65 is reliable as a driver then drive it & enjoy it but if its not you can always restomod it. Bottom line, keep it & have the best of both worlds
i own both now and like them for different reasons.
the questions i would have answered would be...
is this your ONLY vehicle to drive?
what are your parking arrangements? (i.e. garaged - or outside... home or parking lot etc..)
do you have a family (mainly kids)? the new one will be MUCH safer if you are ever in an accident. and rear seatbelts were still just an option in 65.
if its a fun & weekend car - the new one will be more reliable and have better performance. the old one, to me, is like therapy. it just makes you feel good to drive it b/c it is so different than most everything else on the road today.
just a couple of my thoughts
