Thumbs up 18 Months and 33,000 miles later

and I still couldn't be happier with my decision to buy this car. Yeah, it has been in the shop a few times to fix gear whine, replace the fuel tank, make the front end stop popping, and actually attach the front seat covers. But, I still have a smile on my face every day I drive it.

The real reason I know I made the right decision though isn't because of the smile I get, not because of the looks and comments it still gets, and not because my now 4-year old daughter thinks it's the coolest thing in the world. The real reason is that over the last 18 months, not once have I driven by one of the other vehicles I considered and said "I wish I would have bought that." Now I looked at probably close to 20 vehicles before I decided to wait on the Stang. 350Z, Boxster, 330, S40, GTO, Magnum, A4, TL, TSX, S2000, is300, Mini Cooper, Lightning, and X-type are just a sample of all the cars I looked at.

The Mustang is a great car and great value.

I'm in the same boat. I ordered mine just the way I wanted it and 14 months later, there is nothing I wish I had got, nothing I wish I hadn't got. And I love my color choices (Torch Red, ICAP, IUP) as well even though I ordered it sight unseen.

I feel the same way you do Radman. I have had the car a little over 17 months now and with 8,700 miles on it I have not one regret. It is a nice car for a good price, and I always enjoy driving it.

Quality control is the 900 pound gorilla in the room where Ford still needs to make signifcant strides if it's to catch the Japanese and regain market share. That aside, hands down the orientals have nothing (at least right now) that competes with the Stang's looks and performance for anything near its price.

Wee bit unfocussed, weren't you? Sounds like me in previous car shopping.
