17" to 18" - any additional hardware needed?

My 06GT coupe came with the 17" bullits, and I am planning on upgrading with the 18"x8,5" Ford OEM polished aluminum wheels. Want to go for 255/45/R18 on these wheels.

- do I need any additional hardware (like steering stops or spacers) to do this on my vehicle?

- anyone know of any problems I might get? anyone else made this upgrade?

Thanks!

Go for it. I ordered my GT with 17s since I knew I would be fitting my BBS 18s. Just bolt them on and go!

They are pretty much the same size overall tire/wheel combo, the profile is simply lower on the 18's. The tires are a touch wider, but no worries, about a half cm per side difference.

I switched from the stock 17" to 18x8.5" Bullitts, also with 255/45R18 tires. You don't need spacers or steering stops, the overall tire diameter is the same and the rims have the same offset. I know Ford's website recommends steering stops, but nobody has ever had any problems without them.

Not to hijack, but are there any issues when upgrading from stock 16" to aftermarket 18" ?
