Didn't you see the big "5W-20" on the oil filler cap? That should answer your question.

I'm not near my car, but IIRC, doesn't Ford recommend 5W-30?

EDIT: I just looked in an on-line manual...looks like 5W-30 is recommended for the V-6 and 5W-20 for the V8. Is that right?

For some reason, down here in Sunny Dubai the dealership used to use 10W30

however i asked them to use 5w20 during my last service (1st service after the whipple went on) and now i'm also wondering which is better (considering the blower and the rather extreme weather)

ahahaah recycled oil. funny thing is that my dad took the oil that was in my mustang and put it in his 1985 buick lesabre. **** buick has 217k miles on it and hes been taking my old oil for the past 50k+ miles out of my old car.

he says now he gets new car oil.....what an upgrade! ahahaah

That is great I am guessing you change your oil at every 3k miles.......Right? If so the oil is still good

I hear you Louie. Here in Sunny Kuwait its the same thing at the dealership. I insisted on 5w-20 and ended up talking to the repair shop manager. He seemed to be a knowledgeable guy (English chap who used to run Audi of London) and he had some interesting insight into this. His verdict was that for a climate like Kuwait’s 10w-30 would win hands down, if only it was semi-synthetic like the 5w-20. Unfortunately 10w-30 is not semi-synthetic and thus shears quickly. As a best solution he suggested I use 10w-30 and change it every 3,000km. This will minimize oil shearing.

I run Castrol GTX 5w20 and change it every 3k, car runs awesome and the oil doesn't turn black between changes. Gas mileage is really good too.

well you could use motorcraft 5w 20 and change it every 5000 miles and it would look the same; everyone has an opinion on this one.
