The 05 Mustang Stampede leading down to the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix was today. It happened to start right across the street from where I used to live, and since I am in the area I decided to run over there, snap some pictures, and jump in line. I was the odd one out without the PVGP sticker on my car but at least my car is Torch Red! The stampede was fun, we left from the Butler Auto Auction in Cranberry Twp., PA, cruised down 79 south, around Heinz Field, through the city, and finally ended up at Schenley Park.
Here are the pictures I snapped.....enjoy

hmmm, if the police get a complaint of a speeding red 2005 Mustang driving recklessly, I wonder which one they will pull over?

Where was the yellow car? There was 100 red and 1 yellow. Figured that was maybe the lead car in the parade.
With all of the Mustangs in the corral and Hau Thai-Tang being there, did they by chance bring a Shelby along for the big car show?

Those shots are almost enough to give me nightmares about coming out of a mall or something and finding mine mixed in with that herd in the parking lot never to be found lol

When I bought the car I negotiated as part of the deal that it would not stay at the corral for the weekend. The car continued directly to the dealer from Schenley never stopping and arrived Friday afternoon, where the stickers were removed the car detailed and delivered Sat. AM.

I'm picturing dozen's of Mustang owners milling about in the corral going "oh, here's my car...no wait...it's over there..or over there....maybe it's this one...or this?"
Nice pics! That must've been awesome to behold in person!

The weather made the show pretty much a wash out. Seeing Hau and listening to his presentation was very interesting and the highlight for me. Most of the stampede cars were gone by Saturday morning, maybe 10 still there (not counting mine and several other TRs that showed up). The "Special Edition" thing was a bit silly. Nothing but the giant stickers that I'm sure everyone will peel off (nice collectible to hang on to). But it was a fun idea to have them all arrive together and the folks that set up this show were great. Now the weather,

The weather on Saturday did stink :bang: , just as Hellcat6 mentioned. My wife and I drove down from Erie, PA and it started raining just North of I-279, but quit just as we entered downtown Pittsburgh. So, despite the ON-and-OFF rain all afternoon, we had a great time. Even met a couple other TMS members: Kluski and Pitperson. The wife drove in the parade on Sunday while I took photos, which I will post as soon as I get my computer at home returned.
Until then, keep the shiney side up!
