I ordered my '05 Mustang GT for $100 over invoice on 1/19/05. I dealt with many dealers and I am happy with this price. I am wondering just how good I did?

Well, another dealer that I was dealing with agreed to sell for $100 over invoice, but this invoice price would be at delivery time, not the time of ordering. He put this in writing and signed it. I was not comfortable with a unset invoice price so I went to a dealer in the next town over and showed him the signed agreement. He agreed to sell for $100 over invoice instantly, and this price is set at time of ordering. I ordered my Mustang GT the next day.

Well done and congrats I haven't ordered mine yet, but I am shooting for right around invoice as well.

A $100 over invoice is great....are you at liberty to give out the dealer's contact info? I have contacted over a dozen dealers in my location and can't get any interested to even dip below MSRP. I am in Boise, and it would be worth a flight anyway in the US to get that kind of pricing. Apparently, the Ford allocations for the Mustang GT's stink around here since this is SUV/Pickup country and the dealers are exploiting the sellers market right now. :bang:

I won't be ordering until July unfortuantely... Hopefully Ford doesn't feel the need to spike the prices again between now and then.

If anyone has any good places to go in the Portland/Vancouver area (Oregon/Washington) please let me know!

I am not sure I understand what you mean by that, so you have already paid for the car or have started making payments on it and the car hasn't even arrived? I didn't think you could do that without a VIN.
