:bang: I know this has been beaten to death but I just could not believe it when I saw it.

I was getting my car serviced last night and went looking around the lot. They had a 9999 price adjustment on a black/black GT vert.

There was a pretty cool salesmen out by it and he said they were having no problem getting the markups on the car.. C'MON people it's a car!

I just don't get it. Why would anyone pay 44k for a 34k car. It's not like more of them aren't being made.

Ok I feel better now.

WOW, some people are amazing. I recently talked to a dealer who would not give me the Xplan, but he was a pretty decent guy about it he didn't act like a jerk.

He bought a yellow GT from another dealer, paid that dealer full price, then marked the car up a couple thousand. The reason he got the car was he had a customer who "absolutely had to have a yellow GT" and price was not an issue. There are just some people who "gotta have it" and those are the people who will pay the markup.

I saw a USED GT hard top at the dealer for $35k. It was stick, IUP, Bullit wheels, Shaker 1000

I do believe that is 5k over the sticker for a NEW one.

For those of us that are in the car right, these pricing issues are certainly in our favor IMO, I am not complaining.

Your right, plus a couple of pints of blood and your 1st born male child.

Wait, I could give them 1 pint of blood and 3 children. That might even bring the price down where I could afford a GT500 - maybe?

When I was out shopping for my car in October a dealer in Whittier, CA wanted 15,000 over msrp 42,000 for a GT premium. :notnice: I decided to buy elsewhere.

Back in March I saw a Mineral Grey 'Vert with upgraded wheels and tires at a dealership with an asking price of $48,000...$4995 for wheels/tires and $10000 "market adjustment".
I don't remember the details as to whether it was a deluxe or premium, sound system or transmission...but I DO remember it didn't have IUP.
It was a nice car, but not worth $48000 IMHO.

They eventually sold the car, but I don't know if they go the price they wanted.

Yeah it's been beaten to death... but it's still kind of amusing... probably why it's been beaten to death

It's like that accident on the freeway everyone slows down to see. It's awful, but hard to believe it can happen. I'm just glad I'm not one of them hehe.
