I saw an 09 GT/CS yesterday at work. It was Candy Apple red with white stripe on the side and the glass roof. The white stripes looked really nice!

 

I saw a Vista Blue 'vert today w/ a tan top and a CDC ducktail on the back. It was pretty cool.

 

09's are out already?

 

i thought the build date for job 1 was in may?

 

The 09 had a manufacturers plate and it was on Ford property.

 

So what did you see to indicate that it was an 09?

 

I'm guessing the roof and stripe.

 

Its more likely that it was a aftermarket roof and stripe, I highly doubt the 09s are already out.

 

To those who do not know Jeff, he works for Ford. What he saw should be real.

 

Glass roof is factory for 09 and will make it to Shelby GT.

 

It was parked in the Product Design Center at Ford with manufacterer plates and instrumentation hooked up inside with an evaluation book for prototype vehicle sitting on the passenger seat. It has the 09 GT/CS white stripe on the side with the glass roof available in 2009 as an option. I am pretty sure it was a 2009.

 

I thought the new order guide said the glass roof is not going to be available with the GT/CS for 09. Did I read it wrong? I think it would look good and don't understand why they would exclude it.

That was the first thing I checked for ! A GT/CS with a glass roof would peg the needle on the cool scale !

 

Not bad, but I will pass. I'm waiting for 2010 or 2011 when the re-styled Stang with dynamic stability control is released.

Perhaps then we will get a functional gas filler and a better 5-speed manual.

The car you saw Jeff is the only GT/CS that will have a glass roof.

 

I will have to see if I can find who is driving the car and inquire about the seemingly unbuildable combination. If I learn something new about this I will post what I can find out.
