08 GT a/c trouble

Im trying to sell the car,and of course the a/c takes a crap.So i want to fix it before i sell it of course. The compressor is not kicking on,fuses good, relay switched with a known good, also checked and had power at the relay terminals. No power at the compressor. When i jumped the low pressure switch, the electric fan would kick on,but no compressor.I found some info about a evaporator temp sensor on some of the fusions going bad,but not sure if my car has one.Couldnt check today,it was pouring will try tomorrow. In the mean time\,anyone here have more experience with this? TIA

Ok,found that if i jump the relay terminals, the compressor comes on,and air gets cold. Why i didnt do that the other day i dont know. However i know i dont have two bad relays, the other one is for the high beams, they work.Im guessing the pressure switch is ok,or does jumping the relay bypass the pressure switch?

Jumping the relay bypasses everything. It's not a good test, except to get the clutch working.

Here:

You'll want to check Pinpoint Tests D, that's where you'll find the issue. It can be caused by one of two switches on a GT, as well as the relay, fuse, the actual A/C panel in the car, low refrigerant, short/open circuit somewhere, and possibly even a problem with the SJB or the PCM, but hopefully not one of those two.

One step at a time, and you'll find it. Pretty quick, too, I'd imagine.

Good luck, hope this helps some!

My guess ... "low refrigerant".

Had it checked yet?
