It would be exceedingly difficult. The 2007 Mustang's electronics aren't compatible with the 2010 lights.

That is the wiring diagram for a 2011, which is going to be similar to a 2010, for the color changing LED lamps in all the nooks and crannies

Besides the wiring, you will require a 2010 or later setup for the ambient lighting, which means the instrument cluster, body control module, and smart junction box.

Or, put mildly, a 2010 Mustang that... already has the lights.

You would be better served in getting this:

http://www.cjponyparts.com/interior-...5-2009/p/ILK1/

and doing that instead, and selling the 2010 lights to someone who might can better use it. Although, if you can get the harnesses, module, and button only, perhaps, PERHAPS you could retromod that and make it work with your 2010 setup.

---

If you wanted to get really tricky... and this is going off the record, waaaay out there kind of thing... get one of these:

https://www.arduino.cc/

And build a controller yourself that'll run those lights. Once you have the lights working on the Arduino, all you then need is to know the value of the instrument cluster to match the colors... and that might be as 'easy' as wiring up one of the led's three inputs, making a 'feeder' harness to the Arduino, reading the values of the instrument cluster in ALL its various colors, then using those values, make a table to match the values needed to run the lights on your cobbled kit.

Once it's all done (AND DOCUMENTED, for cryin' out loud) you would have a very unique setup. Oh, and you'd void your car's warranty in every conceivable way, and possibly break federal law regarding the instrument cluster if it interferes with the odometer in some way...

...but hey, whatever. Do it. You know you want to.

Hell, I might do this now. I have an original Ford ambient light kit... and all the other lamps in the car need to do this... I'mma go find a wrecked 2010+ and get them lights for them controls too.

Thanks. Thanks a lot. Puttin' ideas in my head like that... like I don't have enough crap going on... silly OP...
