I have legend lime green and had my mirrors painted. Me and the body shop manager were looking through his new paint chip book and couldn't find "legend lime green." So I went out to get the paint code and we found it. It's called Lime Gold. Atleast if it is 2 different colors, you can't tell looking at my mirrors. It looks identical.

I suppose I could have pointed out, if it wasn't clear, that my point in my post is when I went to the dealer messing with paint codes, Legend Lime and Lime gold are the same color, different names.

It's the same thing. The color is "Legend Lime Gold". To say either "Legend Lime" or "Lime Gold" is just an abbreviation of the full name.
And, as for comparing colors in pictures, there's no point. If you had the same exact car sitting somewhere, and you took 10 different pictures of it, each with a different camera on a different day, you'd wind up with 10 different shades of the same color. Mostly due to different lighting conditions, not to mention the different cameras themselves.

If you're referring to what I said, it was paint chips that the body shop has in a book. Not pics of different cars and their colors. I very much understand what you're saying though. I haven't seen a picture online the truely shows the Legend Lime/Lime Gold color. Everyone that has seen my car or another LL Green mustang and has seen a pic of this color, always comment on how it looks different in person. At different lighting, it actually looks gold. Full sunlight, it looks green. I like it. It never gets boring, well, to me anyways.

There's only one thing that I could think of that would change and that would be the metal flake in the paint (my best guess) silver flake for the legendary lime and possibly gold flake for the lime gold ,but still useing the same base of green paint .
