I couldn't find a definitive answer for this question when I searched so I'll pose it again for myself and those who asked before. Is there an interior trunk release button on '06 Mustangs?

See this link. At the bottom under "Safety" you'll see why I'm asking.

I've gotten so used to the one in my Mazda6 that I'm really hoping Ford puts one in the Mustang before I buy in '07. The earlier the better IMO.

Since it's under safety I would assume they're speaking about the Interior release (IE the pull cord if a kid get's trapped in the trunk)

I second that - the glow-in-the-dark rip-cord thing. not a button that's in the glove box or wherever.

You're right. I forgot about those things. And they have the same thing listed for '05 models now that I looked back.

The 6 has the rear seat-back fold levers in the trunk (as will the Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan, and Lincoln Zephyr) as well as the glow in the dark pull cord. The former is very convenient I must say and it's another thing on my wishlist for Ford and the Mustang.

Correct. There is no button/latch/cord/etc. inside the cabin of the vehicle to open the trunk.

The link is referring to the handle INSIDE the trunk, that can be pulled if someone gets trapped inside the trunk.

The only ways to open the trunk are to use the key in the lock directly on the trunk, or to use the key fob.

...or to wire in your own button.
