He said awhile back in the other thread that he was not going to be doing that anymore.

 

hey...that's my exact vin minus the last 3 numbers... i'm 680, and my build date was supposed to be Nov 1

I can't say that I blame him. There are just too many of us!! Hopefully all of our cars will be built today and we won't have to wait too long for them. Do you have an estimated delivery data yet??

When your dealer tells you the build date it is usually the first day of the work week. So for all those with a build date of Nov1 your car will be built during this week. It might be today, but it also may be built on Friday. Mine was built on the week of 10/25, I called Wed to Ford Cust Relations and found out that my vehicle had been produced. Once it's been produced they said it could take up to 3 weeks for delivery. I was told to expect it Nov 12 - 19th. Be patient, we should all be driving our Mustangs real soon.

 

KenP's example is accurate. He and I both had 10/25 build dates. His was built Monday or Tuesday and mine wasn't built until Thursday or Friday.

I also had a 10/25 build date. I'm guessing Monday or Tuesday it was produced. I called last Friday to Ford customer relations, and they told me it's status showed "shipped to convoy", and had an ETA of 11/12. So maybe Ken's Stang and mine will keep each other company when it get's on the car carrier headed for the dealerships!

 

Mine was built week of 9/7 and I'm still patiently waiting for her to arrive...closing in on 2 months of being away from her family. Doesn't Ford know the first few months of life are the most critical for your baby to learn how much she is loved!?! I just hope and pray the psychological damage won't be permanent.

 

I sure hope mine doesn't take that long from build date. Mine gets built next week and I just hope I have it early december

 

It only took two weeks from my real build date (complete date of 10/18 vs. the status build date, week of 10/11) to the call from my dealer on 10/30.

I feel sorry for those who had their car build in September and haven't received them yet....

 

My car was built on 9/28. Shipped 10/2 still no car

 

Just got an update from my dealer, he said my car has been dropped off at Winston Salem, NC by rail, and is being prepared to ship to my dealer. He said they expect it to arrive Wednesday at the dealership. He also told me when it reaches that point, the timeframe is usually accurate. I don't know, that seems awfully fast from build date to delivery, so I'm gonna take this update with a grain of salt. If it arrives Wednesday, fantastic, but I'm still gonna go with the attitude that it'll be another week or two.

 

Hey Jay, What dealer did you go with? I went with Kimnach in Norfolk. I have not talked with my dealer in 2 weeks. I might pop in on Wednesday and see if he has any news or perhaps my car will be waiting. Like you said in your post.....Im gonna do with the same attitude (we are talking about FORD).

Ken, I went through Freedom Ford in Norfolk. My VIN is 1ZVHT82H355109278. I talked to the new car order manager at my dealer. Maybe you should try and call the car order manager at Kimnach to see what you can find out on your car...

 

Freedom Ford.....Not too far down the road. Lady at Ford Cust Relations did say that they hold the vehicles until they have a bunch going in the same direction. I wouldn't mind being surprised early. I'll make a call in the morning.

 

Still no car! Build date was week of 9-27, ship date Oct 2. Tomorrow is one month, and it only had to travel 250 miles to Northern Michigan. Anyone seen it?
