I love the new Mustangs as much as everyone,and I know they're fast. But, I was wondering. WHY DON'T MANY TERMINATOR OWNERS ACKNOWLEDGE IT!?

I thought we were all mustang owners, and in this together?

 

Everybody is biased towards what they own. Its like asking somebody which speakers sound the best.

 

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Some of the guys over there are very opinionated.

 

The S197's have been an enormous success and have completely ripped all the press coverage and attention from the jaws of the last-gen Mustang owners. I'm not the least surprised at the hate-mongering, they're feeling gutted right now. Even the secondary markets are abandoning them in the interest of developing new stuff for the S197. That's progress for you, some people jump on the bandwagon while others stand off to the side with their arms crossed and displaying a big fat pouty lip That doesn't apply to all of them of course, but the ones that whine do it so loudly and prominently that you'd think everyone thinks the same way they do!

My son likes the s197 but he wont give up his last GEN Stang for nothing.

Many people simply cannot accept change.

A lot of them bought Terminators thinking that the Terminator would be the best & fastest factory Mustang ever. In their minds no future Mustang would ever be better than the one they bought.

They need a reality check, they're stuck in the past. The world changes, deal with it.

 

The Fox and Fox-4 chassis Stangs carried the banner very admirably for many years. There is no argument about that fact. Anyone who cannot see that the S-197 is heads and above a superior platform (live axle notwithstanding) with far better interior comfort and ergonomics needs to have a good sitdown with a shrink.

 

im a member of SVTperformance....we have a thread up about my 05 GT vs my brothers 03 mach 1 video. lots of people defended me but also trashed the new GT. the reason i think terminator owners r arrogant toward s197 owners is because, well the new shelby is going to terminate the terminators

 

also because stock they have the extra 90hp over the s197 GT, they think they own the world. i honestly cannot...let me say it again, CANNOT wait till a nice video comes out of a shelby tearing a new one in the 03/04 cobra's. now yes im being bias there, but im a mustang owner. i acknowledge all mustangs. if they wont give me the respect i deserve and acknowledge me, then ohh well, i have no sympathy.

 

Acts like this really boggle my mind. I like all Mustangs. Just this past Saturday, I was at a local cruise night, and a '93 Cobra parks. It the Teal color, and I was all over that car!!! If I had the money, I would love to find one of these, and mod the heck out of the motor. I just love the style and the color of the 1st Cobra. Too bad more people can't be friendly when it comes to our new Mustangs.

The Terminators are great cars,

I think the SVT owners are annoyed with the fact that there are many first-time enthusiasts with this car, and there are also quite a bit of posers. When you're the new kid on the block, you tend to have to prove yourself before you get any respect.

I can just tell you the difference a year makes, the first year a bunch of us '05 guys went to a show, its as if no one wanted to talk to us. The follwing year, there were many more S197's and they were getting looks and having pictures taken by everyone.

 

I think that when people bash a certain mustang syle they need to evaluate their love of the car!!! J/k, but I agree with those who like all stang styles, Just the other day I saw an 03 mach 1 and I loved it! I prefer the new body style because it resembles my 66 body style so much, plus 300hp from the factory is huge for a production mustang!!! If I could, I would own one of every style of mustang!!!

It would be a mistake for any true Mustang fan to discourage new entrants into the world of the Stang. If one keeps excluding newbies, there will be an ever-decreasing "club" that will eventually die.

All of us who are new Mustangs have to start somewhere.

 

its the terminator owners, they r just mad cuz the shelbys r faster, thats mostly the case
