Thanks to Doug (Burningman) for sending these to me. Forgot to save them the first time.

I'm sure many haven't seen these:

Those 18's complement the lines of the 05 so well. Every time I see them I get mad at Ford for teasing us. Nice pics though, for some reason in that set the stang looks a lot better than the comparison pic of the 05 and cobra r floating around.

That's why I posted them. The 05 IMO looks much nicer than the SN95's (which look amazing BTW).

I feel that the 05 has the wrong rim/tire package on it. The 18's and 255's do the car much more justice.

Now, put this 05 next to even an 03 Cobra and lets see what people think. I for one would choose the 05. Too bad you can't put the power of the Cobra in the 05 though.

My only complaint is the front end. I still think ford could have done a better job and put some more angles into the design. I love the SN 95 front end. It has a much sleeker look to it. The black inserts also kill the look of the 05 lower grill. It's too bad ford didn't keep the body colored veins like in the pics. Although, IMO the GT-R front end looks great. Hopefully the aftermarket will have a lot of options.

both look awesome, the 05 needs just something extra though on the front end.... I'm sure the aftermarket will be able to satisfy.

Personally i love the front end. I think it looks a lot better than the current stang, but then again i really like the old muscle cars instead on aerodynamics . I really would like s hood scoop though, can't wait to see what kind Roush will put in!

Now Kev, don't lose the forest for the trees. And as for twigs and branches, why even bother. They are, after all, just kindling for the fire. :flame2: I for one will simply click my heels three times and hope it goes away, never to return...

So go buy one of those "sleek" (sissyfied) yuppie-mobiles, then, and quit wasting your time in a forum dedicated to the car that you think is a failure. Unlike you, we have berries to go along with our branch.

The Mustang has traction control. The Mustang has side airbags. The Mustang does NOT need heated seats, HID's, nor electronic passenger seats. A fully loaded Mustang GT is, as YOU stated, still $3k less than a starter G35. And it STILL has more HP, torque, and overall jaw-dropping design.

There's nothing wrong with having an opinion, but don't be ignorant while voicing it. :notnice:

I was going to say, if you don't like a particular car, especially the 05 stang, you are probably on the wrong forum, oh well.

You know the old saying :

DON'T GO AWAY MAD, JUST GO AWAY!

BESIDES, WE ALL KNOW THIS IS A TRUE "STANG" SITE.
THAT JUST MAKES ME LIKE THE 05 EVEN BETTER! 3 CHEERS FOR THE NEW STANG!!! HER-A, HER-A, HER-A
