One word: Moonroof! I know the purists on the board hate them, but there are plenty of us that love them. I'd never by a Vert living in the northwest and our long rainy winters. Ford could just show some love to those of us that want extra light and air but don't want or can't feasibly have a Vert!

I don't know why, but I like the parchment top better on all of the colors except maybe white, mineral gray, screaming yellow, and torch red...just seems too dark otherwise

Mike.... :worship:

Keep in mind the blue looks lighter on sunny days. It's not really a "dark" blue like true blue so I think it would go with a light or dark top...

It would be interesting to have a poll and find out how many Coupe owners have ever owned a Vert. I figure most Vert owners have owned coupes and have made a choice with experience of both. I would venture to guess many coupe owners have never owned a Vert.

I have owned a vert and made the decision to never own one again. I prefer coups.

Verts are fun (drove my aunt's for a few months) but they just make those cold windter mornings a bit much to handle...

Thanks for the response, I wonder if Canada VS Alabama influences our preferences any?

I agree, maybe a difference if the car is a daily driver or weekend good weather car. I have other vehicles for daily driving, my 03 vert only has 2300 miles.

Exactly why I have never, and will never own a vert.

Love the look of some of them, Mom-in-Law has a 03 V6 Vert, and she hates it. I have driven it, and its fun for about 5 mins for me.

I have long hair. I like my hair down. I also like to have it semi normal looking when I get to my destination! Long hair+wearing it down=hardtop! I have driven a vert in MA... Got on the freeway going to Billerica, and goddess help me, I was about killed by my own hair.

I do most of my driving on the freeway, and when I am cruising down PCH in front of my house, I am going fast enough that it would annoy the daylights out of me.

Most of all, its the vert owners who told me to not do it. Not to mention, I just like the lines of the coup better.

If ya like verts, I defintely think this is one of the best looking ones out there, and who can beat whats under the hood?

I've never owned a vert and plan on making my '05 my first. It'll be my daily driver (except for snow) and I do live in a cold area (northeast).

Curious how it makes winter mornings harder. Since the either car has overnight to get cold wouldn't a coupe be just as cold in the morning as a vert? Does the vert top keep out the cold less once the heat gets going or are you ok at that point?

I have a daily driver with retractable hardtop now and after driving ragtops for years I must say it's pretty darn nice to drive something with the structural rigidity of a coupe again.

Mustang's just for fun so it has to be a convertible. Although I like the silhouet of the coupe better.

Heheh, yeah that's pretty annoying when driving a vert. I switched to buzzcut last year, no more hair worries for me. I wake up in the morning and my hair's okay instantly. I drive 100 miles with the top down, not a hair out of place. Not that I have much hair to begin with, but it's a definate advantage for vert driving

The coupe is much more attractive IMHO. The vert is attractive only when the top is down, while the coupe looks great all the time. Taking into account rainy and cold days when the top would have to be up, the coupe is the clear winner.

I had a vert for the spring/simmer/fall and an F-250 for the winter. I like the look of the coupe but putting the top down on the first warm day in spring is awesome. Plus I can work on my tan on my commute.

coupes are better for 3412351 reasons. they dont have an extra 500 pounds on them due to the crap put on the verts, you dont get body flex, and there cheaper
