Don't count on the Mustang being early. The '05 Ford Trucks are mostly carry over from the new '04 line, just made as an '05 model.

I bet the '05 Mustang will sell fast, but I don't plan to get an '05, waiting for an '06 or '07 SVT Mustang, or a special edition with more POWER than the 300hp 3V 4.6L Mod engine.

The 4.6L 3V 300hp Mustang engine will only get about 245-255hp to the rear wheels. The last Mustang I had was a 1984 GT 5.0L converted to Fuel Injection, and with all the normal mods I was getting 317hp to the rear wheels. I NEED the new Mustang to be at least as powerful as my last Mustang project with minimal additional investment since the 4.6L engines cannot be as easily modded as the older 5.0L V8 engine.

If you think its rated at JUST 300hp

A certain while ago a magazine was quoted in saying it hit up to 285-290 RWHP.
Sounds a little underated to me.

Also lets wait till the production cars come out, they will have the final tunes etc.
But with the current trend...expect the V6 and GT to be underated tad.

They do ride quite a bit better, the car more naturally "unsteers' itself as well when turning. The V8 3v with teh 5 speed feels MUCH better then it did in the old 5.4 truck. Both the diesels we had were sold already, but I did squeak one out for a spin. Very nice. The new wheels rock.'

On a strange note, the 6 or 7 we got in initially all came with blank winow stickers, they were produced before prices were finalized.

I keep checking the one we have showing IN production with an actual "pre-job 1" code on the options list daily. The 3v should take to breathing mods very well.

Looks to me like the 05 superdutys have a different grill, bumper;headlights;wheels than the 04. Not counting different front end parts. I would say these are not just carryovers. Although the mustangs date is probably still firm because atleast the trucks have the same frames and most other parts. Where the mustang is a totally new line.

My dad wants the 05 wheels for his 04 F250.

Those are nice wheels. And they have the black center cap with the ford oval... just like the '05 Mustangs are gonna have. Are all '05 Fords going to have these caps?
