The 4.0 V6 will sound way better than the 3.8.

The 3.8 can sound good with the right mufflers, but the engine sound itself is noisy. The 4.0 will be a more refined engine, and from what I remember, Ford tweaked the V6 to sound good too, not just the 8.
It'll sound like a 6, but its got a nice displacement, and can give off a rumble of its own.

I know what you mean. I drive an auto now and am looking forward to the manual 05. So much so that my foot keeps looking for a clutch to push in and I keep pulling on the shifter.

I'm hopping the V6 will be in the ballpark for sound... Since that is what I will be getting. As long as it sounds badhiney I'll be happy, because I like the looks of Coupe much more then the GT.
