0-60 in 5.5 seconds? that doesnt seem that impressive. i was hoping for a high 4 low 5. but who knows only time will tell. still looks good though. i finally got to see the gauges being shown off. "i like, i like it a lot"

"So it's fast?"
"Ford says about 5.5 seconds, so I guess...yeah".

considering ford rated the mach 1 at 5.3 sec and we all know it was faster than that,im sure the '05 will do better than 5.5. IMO the new GT will be just a tad slower than a mach 1.

So i know ill get flamed, and regardless of the answer the mustang is still my front runner, but...
How exactly will the 05 be FASTER than an LS1 F-Body?
It has:
< HP
< TQ
> LBS
< Gearing
and seemingly < aerodynamic.
Even if the 05's tq curve is perfectly flat, it's still giving up 50+ lb ft to a lighter car (the LS1's curve is pretty flat itself). If an LS1 Fbody did 0-60 in the high 4's to low 5's, isn't 5.5 a fair estimate?.
