Anyone else catch this over the weekend? All they did was add a K&N intake, Flow's and a Zex kit (although i was pretty impressed by the Zex results).

They didn't say crap about a re-tune??? Why would they post gains of like 20rwhp and not mention anything about a CEL? When they did the 03 cobra pulley swap they did retune.

 

I could be wrong, but I think they said they could get more power out of the Zex kit, but they would have to retune it, and they were leaving that for another show.

 

when i was watching it i saw they had the mustang dynoed at 255hp stock.... does that seem a little low to anyone else, i thought most of our cars were gettin 265 atleast

They also said the car had 4.33 gears. I also thought those numbers seemed very low.

 

It was mentioned in another thread that HPTV is basically a big advertisement. Apparently SCT and DiabloSport didn't give them money to use their product.

 

The K&N they added had a metal part that the cone attached to, mine wasn't like that. Others with K&N was yours metal or black plastic?

 

If you are a regular HP TV watcher, you would know that K+N, Flowmaster, and ZEX are all sponsers... no suprise that is what you saw... because if they were serious about HP gains, they would have used a tune and a better CAI. Not to mention they would have admitted that NO muffler gives any real gain....

 

their dyno is a Mustang Dyno. And numbers don't mean that much anyway, You car is only running at that peak horsepower for like half a second.

What they did show however is that the K&N was worth 10RWHP without a tune
and the mufflers added 6 HP without a tune and the Zex kit added lots.



What really counts is how it runs at the track.
