Thumbs down

Hey guys. I was just wondering if anyone knew if Ford was still holding back on pulling IUP orders for the '05 GTs. Just wondering because I still don't have a VIN....

As of right now, there are no official holds on the 05 mustang that I know of.

I think he means at the factory "on hold" not at the dealer. I just got a build date of Oct 25th on mine with IUP so I hope not too.

No, no.... I meant what indystang said... IUP holds from the factory. From what my dealer said, there still is a hold. I just was wondering if anyone "in the know" could confirm this.

There is a hold on some GT cars. It may have to do with production date (perhaps early). I have just been officially notified. My white GT which was scheduled to be delivered week of 10/10......it's still at the factory! It is on a hold. Pardon the pun, but my info is straight from the horses mouth! It's very disappointing. At this particular time, there is no longer any word on when the car will be delivered. I have an early production date, and I know of another in exactly the same situation.

There are at least two, supergenius. The V6 manual is on hold, and as far as we know, the Interior Upgrade Package is on hold.

Don't post if you don't know what you're talking about ...

Am I the only one that sees what Ford is doing? They are putting 'Stock' orders ahead of 'Retail' orders.

How about some factual information, and nothing fictional, because that is all we know right now is fictional. Ford has not officially released any statements that I know of saying there is any hold. In fact an article I read just yesterday said there were no quality issues affecting any of the 2005 releases. Before you go nitpicking Grantsdale you oughta know the difference between fact and fiction. Show me an article that states it to provide the real info, not dealer speculation, internet rumor etc... etc...

Wow.... that never really occurred to me until now. It would make good business sense, as they know the ordered "retail" GTs would be gone from the dealerships within a few days and the dealerships would have no 2005 Mustang to stick in their showrooms, thus not driving more interest/sales for the '05.
stinks for us, though.

If I would have known that I would have had the dealer order mine without my name for stock. Both of their other allocations are built and in transit - mine is NOT!

According to this week's report he is the order data for the mustang:

2005 Mustang

Interior Upgrade Pkg. 52%

Exterior Sport Package 31%

4.0L SOHC EIF Engine 74%

4.6L 3V OHC VCT w/Auto 9%

4.0L 3V OHC VCT w/Manual 16%

As you can see the restriction on oredering the v6 manual is lifting, but this doesn't mean they start building them this week. We can now place an order and it may get pulled at which time a future build date will be issued. The good news is that they're getting closer.

Sure, go to a dealer and have him check fmcdealer for you. He can show you that the start date on the v6 manual is 11/29, and the IUP status is "backordered"
