btw, no word yet on my own delivery (eta is still "by tomorrow" as of 10:30 this morning, but I'm starting to get a bit worried, as no one else has heard much...)

The ETA's means Estimated Time of Arrival. Being Estimates there is a degree of error.
When my dealer told me my ETA of 10-14-04, he said the car could come in this week, the week after or even the week after that.
The only thing you status change and the ETA means is your car is on the way to you, you cannot expect it on the exact day of the ETA.
It could come before the ETA, on the ETA date, shortly after, or well after.
