Does anyone know if companies have already made car covers especially for the 05?
What characteristics should I look for when buying a car cover for my new baby?
Is it possible to get a car cover that will protect the car from the weather, door dings and scratches?

Doubt if they make a car cover to protect from door dings, just park far away and in the corner so no one will ding it!
As for a cover I'm sure they will have them once the car is available, just find one that breathes pretty good.

I already have my 05 car cover. It's a new thing I just heard of. I think I heard someone refer to it as a garage.. :clown:

just curious...what percentage of people do you think that don't have a garage will use a car cover? And do they put it on every time they get out of the car?

Steeda makes a good car cover. I think they were around 120 maybe cheaper.

I don't know but to be honest, unless your covering a perfectly clean car and you are careful, I think you'd end up scratching the car surface by putting a cover on it as the cover would rub dust/sand between it and the paint.

I have seen a bubble like seen advertised on tv. You hook up your shop vac and blow it up. They show a bike falling over and not touching the car.

I am in the process of building a 15' x 18' carport off my house that is costing me around $2000 and a bunch of weekends. No car cover for me. My baby will have a roof over her head.

2005muzzy, Honestly I don't know, but give them a call and put them to the question. I live in southern calif so I just worry about the sun! I did read though that the metal poles supporting it seem to be pretty stout.

Yeah that's the exact one I was looking at. I think it would be alright as long as you brushed it offafter a big snow fall. I like It and I'm getting one. Can you put these things up in a drive way or are the held down with tent stakes?

Acutally, I had one of the 10x20 without the side in my horse coral. I took half cinder blocks and pvc pipes. Cut the pipes to 2ft and put them in the cinderblocks with cemet. When it dried you can put the legs from the carport into the pvc pipes.

it should not blow away. just tie the cross members and awning to the blocks/pipes.

I called them and they have a concrete tie down kit for these car ports. Forgot how it works but they have one.
