05-09 Rocks!! Disappointed in 2010

Anyone see the commercial i think its for Orbitz? They have a 2010 Mustang in it. Its just the shot of the rear. The thing is just not attractive. When you see this the last thing you think that its a Mustang. I want to like this rear because i really want the 5.0 but everytime i see it ,its just a turn off.

The Sirius "wart" on our '07 GT is pretty hidden by the spoiler. If it had spoiler delete, I can see it being an eyesore. Since ours is Tungsten Grey, it disappears fairly well. I sure enjoy Sirius radio though for programming!

bought my '09 because I didn't like the back end of the '10. (The $4500 rebate didn't hurt either!) Like many others on here have said, the new front end is good, the new interior is fabulous, but the back is awful. And that hump on the rear fenders is straight off the Dodge Charger. Yuk. But, I think it's all relative. It's still, overall, a good looking car. And it's a WAY better car than either the Camaro or Challenger. IF Ford would've done something different with the back I'd probably own a 2010 now.
I bought my CS in 12/08 and it now has 10500 daily driven miles. I finally look forward to driving to work now. The attached '10 was spied in MS this June. I MIGHT have bought this one if I hadn't bought my CS. It was a strippo with 3.73 gears. I still can't get used to the rear end though.

I agree. That's why I ordered mine in black, even though I think Kona Blue is. The black paint hides the cheap-looking flat black trim on the '10 GT. And then there is the black plastic Sirius "wart" on the decklid that should have been painted body color as well--or better yet been a cool-looking fin like those on some German and Japanese cars.

Who the hell puts a fake scoop on a power dome? Just as bad as that one on that Shinoda Boss. This car is best left stock with maybe a chin spoiler to hide the chops and a GT500 rear spoiler to help the rear out some. Slap on the GT500 wheels and you are set. The rest looks out of place on this car.

I like everything about the 2010 mustang except the read end. Whenever I see a 2010 in a pic or in person I ask myself, "What were they thinking when they approved that rear end!!??". It looks like its poking its butt in the air!
Edit- The only way I would ever get a 2010 is if it were in black. The black plastic is not as noticable and the rear end doesn't look so slanted.

I agree that black is the way to go on a '10 GT. Hides all the black plastic well and it looks sleek.
I like the front end of the '10 GT500s a lot more than the GTs/V6s, but I'll be a broken record and say that the rear (not only the tail lights, but the black plastic too - really just the overall look) is what's keeping me from seriously looking into purchasing one. The power plant upgrades may throw a veil over the '10 rear end, but I'd rather add a SC to my '06s and keep the more retro look.
Also, saw a '10 GT500 black vert (stripe delete) at a dealer last week and thought it looked waaaaay too plain. Sleeper? Sure. But in my opinion, anyone who knows what to look for knows how to spot Cobra emblems. I'd rather have something more dressed up in a GT500.

First off I am so glad that the blue oval survived the assault to become goverment owned and is free. I am also glad the Mustang has survived all the rest.
My only complaint is that the grill/headligh combo looks so much like the camero and challenger at a glance. I do like the nod to the 70 headlight look and the hood is kick ***.
I just hope V8's survive this go around.
