Maybe someone out here can help answer this question.
My neighbor just came back from the Orlando, Fl. area (vacation).
While visiting, we saw 2 mustangs on display at a mall.
He did photgraph them, however he's too cheap to have bought a decent digital camera.
He e-mailed me the photos, they re of sorry quality. Had to go next door and look at them on his camera veiwer.
One car is a '05 / '06? yellow with black vinyl tape package, copied after a '70 Boss 302. the factory rear wing has been painted black.
Hood has a "shaker scoop", maybe CDC manufacture?
Rear glass window has black raise up slats on it.
The other has a single black stripe on the hood, roof and trunk lid, goes under the factory wing. Also has 2 smaller stripes on either side.
Rear window slats and a black cobra jet scoop on the hood (non functional).

the "Boss" stripe does not say Boss 302 on it, It has a 5 or 6 digit word
possible dealer name above the letters-197.

These could be dealer add-on kits or possible local customizer packages?

Any ideas, I don't think that they are Mark III or Southern comfort
conversions. At least no one there knew what I was talking about. Cars also appear to have 16" / 17" Magnum 500 style wheels.

The dealer probally gets someone to do it for them.

Look what a dealer up here offers.

There are a few people on this site that have done BOSS/Mach tribute cars. Some very nice ones, look in the gallery.

Did you notice that the cars their selling have "Predator Tunes"....Wouldn't that void the warranty???

This probably isn't the one you saw, but go to this thread and scroll down to post #42 (and beyond). It's a nice Mach tribute in black on yellow!

Yeah, dealers probably pay someone local to do that, then try to get buku bucks out of people for it.

I did all of my Boss customizing for about $1000.

Check out my cardomain for specifics.

I don't remember where I read it, maybe BOF, I think Shindoa bought the rights to the "BOSS" name?

Ugh, another BOSS discussion thread? And it's funny how nobody remembers where they read about the rights to the BOSS name...

Anyhoot, did anyone noticed that the mirrors are painted in some of the cars offered? Looks pretty nice

I assume if the dealer is selling it theyre not going to void your warranty over it.

Ford owns the "Boss" name as it applies to anything automotive (including toy cars). Shinoda owns the name "Shinoda Boss" or "Boss Shinoda" (I forget which).
