what a pity. i hate it when cars have logos/badges from things that they dont have or arent. its not a saleen or a cobra. yet somehow decals and logos find their way onto the car. gee i wonder how those go there. doors? i know its a saleen wing, but i hate that one. i like the ductail-esque ones much more.

I agree Arin (somewhat). I also don't care for the look he gave the car. And he shouldn't have said it's a "GT Cobra" when it's just a Gt with Cobra/Saleen parts. Now recently i've seen a few threads on this site about this same subject, and i'm kind of torn between both sides of the subject. So now i'll explain my two sides only because i'm bored right now lol...

On one side: I agree people like this guy shouldn't call his stang anything but a GT. The little snake badges I can handle but his SVT badge is a bit overboard, but again, that's my opinion.

Now on the other side: I may not have much room to talk because I have the following things on my car....Saleen style body kit, Saleen side stripes, '95 Cobra R replica wheels, Mach 1 style hood, and a '93 style rear wing. Now those are styles I liked and therefore I used them. BUT, one thing i've never done and will never do is put the actual word 'SALEEN' or 'COBRA' etc. on my car to portray it as something it's not. Some may think i'm trying to make it out to be something it's not but they couldn't be more wrong. I have always shown that my car was an LX (the 'LX' decals on the side molding piece will prove that). YES I have Saleen stripes (because I like thier looks), but I didn't and wouldn't put the word Saleen on my car. Same goes for the other parts. If asked by anyone, I always tell them exactly what my car is, an LX 2.3 and nothing more! Like it or don't look at it.........

saleen and cobra can be used if its a replica. Jason, your car isnt like his, yours is just styled up a bit as compared to the other pos on ebay

 

hmm your car is not a cobra nor was it produced by svt so why the heck did u put those badges on!

those stupid cobra wheels and 99 cobra bumper are among the worst, i would of bought it new if i were him, added bullits and a scoop and a Kenne Bell

 

its kinda sad to say but i think those rims look kinda nice on that car its the first time ive ever seen em on a 99+, the wing, i well i hate that wing. as for the badges i totally agree, its annoys me to no end when gt's (or even wose yet, v6's) run around with svt, cobra, police interceptor, or other BS badges on them.
about the doors, i dunno if id put them on my car, especially for thatr kinda money, but i actually think it looks kinda kool

 

doors are neat, not too ricey. the wheels i hate on every car anyone has ever put them on.

 

That guy is a total quack! Personally I like the way he says that
he bought it straight from the dealer, which kind of makes you think
that he is the original owner, but then goes on to state that he has
only put 4000 miles on it.

I do have to admit that I am digging the doors, and I have no doubt
that if you drive that car with both doors open everyone will check you
out, not because it's cool, but because you are a moron!

If the interior is like brand new, then what the heck is on the dash above
the center vents, I don't remember that being factory?

In my experience new bumper goes on after the old one gets mangled.

 

the only thing i have a problem with is calling it a GT Cobra and the SVT and cobra badges. dont mind cobra parts, just dont try and pass it off as one.

 

cobra bumper and wheels look like trash though, like 95 r wheels on a 99 newer
